One of the crew needed immediate attention and the doctor and nurses here were top notch!! Dr Brown was professional and very kind helping us understand what was happening. We loved nurse Shawna and her great personality which took the stress out of this visit!! We need more professionals like Shawna who love what they do and put the extra energy into her patients, she didn’t have to. She was very knowledgeable which gave us a great sense of calm. Thank you again, Shawna. You made our emergency visit to Bay Area Hospital unexpectedly actually fun with your super attitude and fun personality!

I have had nothing but top notch service at this hospital, from scans to procedures and emergency room visits. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. I may be luckier than most, but this is absolutely the case for me here. And I love their cafeteria. The food is good and inexpensive and the service is friendly and warm.

Best hospital I've ever been too! They saved my life. The staff is amazing, they were on my situation immediately. My nurse Angie was fantastic. Dr. Patel was so knowledgeable, helpful and a great bedside manner. They were so thorough checking everything before they let me leave. Anyone saying this hospital sucks needs to go to a California hospital. I'm from California ( unfortunately) and you Don't receive anywhere near the care I received at this hospital. Wonderful staff and service that I can't say enough about.

I have to say that EVERY SINGLE PERSON that worked at the hospital was so incredibly kind, empathetic, patient and never once did I feel like they had something better to do than help me. This was the first time I have been to a hospital where I was treated so well! I had my own room with large bathroom and shower with a shower chair! They didn't care that almost every night I had some one stay with me and they would make up the bed for them!! Huge windows with a pretty view!! The nurses never made me feel like they didn’t have time for me and would stay till I felt comfortable again. I was in the hospitals care for surgery and ended up having to stay for 5 days. The CNAs would always come to my aid and I never felt forgotten. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone at Bay Area Hospital!

I truly have no idea how the ratings are so low for this hospital. I have been here for a few days. It was with great apprehension when I was taken to the ER, but only to be thankful I was taken there. Every caregiver in the building go above and beyond. A big Thank you to everyone in the ER.The doctors are unbelievable, the nursing staff are beyond capable, even the staff from the kitchen are so kind. I've only come into contact with one person didn't fit into this team. A woman when you check in with long gray hair. So thank you to all you wonderful people at Bay area hospital of Coos Bay.

I visit people here and enjoy the time. The staff is always extra nice and helpful. The emergency set up is relaxing and fast! The Café food is very good! Special thanks to all the hard working souls there!

I came in for an allergic reaction to food from Buccees. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I had MCAS and POTS. I was recently diagnosed. My protocol for mast cell activation syndrome is exactly what the ER did for me. I can't thank you Drs enough for your thorough exam and prescriptions.

The staff in the ER were absolutely amazing. No one goes in there in a great mood, but they made sure I was comfortable, taken care, and made the situation the best it could be. Obviously I never want to have to go to an ER, but if I do again I hope it’s here.

Today I ended up in the ED at BAH. From start to end- I appreciate everyone that worked with me. I went in 2 days post op with severe pain. I was taken back quickly, assessed, labs done, given medication, and check in again about my pain levels. When I arrived I was tachy at 140 likely due to the severe pain. This did resolve with medication. I want to thank Chelsea RN, Julia RN, the ED techs who helped with the stuff like IV and helping me to the bathroom, and ofcourse Dr. Wade Fox. ** disclosure ** I do work for the hospital but I dont think this impacted the treatment I got in anyway. 10/10 would recommend BAH ED for emergencies. I love my team at the hospital. You all are amazing 🫶

I had to go in today for a D&C after a pregnancy loss and I had the sweetest staff. My RN, Andy, was especially really sweet. I was really anxious going in and told him I was getting the procedure because of a loss and he talked the whole time and made me laugh so much that I didn’t feel nervous anymore. I wish I could have him for any procedure to walk me through things. I’m thankful for him and the other staff/surgical team members I had
